How to Use the Chlorine Calculator

Enter your current and target free chlorine levels to calculate the required dose. The ideal free chlorine range is 1-3 ppm (or 2-4 ppm if your CYA is 30-50 ppm).

Liquid chlorine (sodium hypochlorite 10-12%) acts fast but has a short shelf life. Granular chlorine provides more precise dosing and longer storage.

Chlorine degrades quickly in direct sunlight and high temperatures. Using CYA stabilizer (30-50 ppm) can significantly reduce chlorine consumption.
