How to Use the Auto-Chlorinator Sizing Calculator

Select your chlorinator type (tablet feeder or salt water generator), enter pool volume, target free chlorine level, and refill/cycle interval. The calculator determines the required daily chlorine output.

For tablet feeders, the result shows how many 3-inch (8 oz) tablets are consumed per day. Size your feeder capacity to hold at least a 1–2 week supply. Most residential inline feeders hold 8–12 tablets.

For salt water generators, the result is the required cell output in grams per hour, with a 20% safety buffer for hot weather and heavy bather load. Match this to the manufacturer's rated output at your salt level and water temperature.
